GOOD NEWS!!!! Dr.
Amy Cerato
was awarded the 2008 NSF CAREER Award for her work on "The Role of
Specific Surface Area and Cation Exchange Capacity in Understanding and
Predicting Expansive Soil Behavior" and is now a licensed Professional
Engineer (PE) in the state of Oklahoma.
Mr. Rory Victor, a M.S. candidate working on dynamically loaded helical anchors for wind towers, was awarded the 2007 ADSC Graduate Scholarship. Ms. Amanda Adams, a M.S. candidate working on sulfate induced heave in lime-stabilized soils, was awarded the 2008 Council of University Transportation Center's (CUTC) Student of the Year Award. The OU Geotech Group recently formed a Student Chapter of the GeoInstitute! We've been busy and very successful! Come join our team! |
